This was our second Celebrity cruise. The first one on Celebrity Century wasn't so great, but we did give it another try and we were very glad we did. This cruise was a completely different experience.

My husband Terry gave me this trip as my 50th birthday gift, although my birthday isn't until June 3, he got a great deal so we went!

Friday, April 17 I logged into work for the day (I work from home). It was a hectic and crazy day as our internet went down for several hours and I missed a few meetings - not a great start.

Finally finished work about 4pm and did the last load of laundry, packed my bag and we headed to the airport to catch the red eye flight from Phoenix to Charlotte, change planes and land in Orlando at 9:30 in the morning.

Flight went smoothly, we took the Disney bus from the airport to our hotel, checked in and headed to Hollywood sudios! I really liked the luggage program. We checked our bags at the Phoenix airport and they showed up in our hotel room when we came back from Hollywood studios.

I didn't take many photos that first day. We had taken the redeye flight to orlando and then straight to the park so I was a bit bleary eyed but still had fun.

Our first meal was lunch at Mama Melrose. These photos were taken with my IPhone but later photos are much better. Lunch was awesome!

I discovered Lipton Pomegranate Lemonade!

Because we had the Deluxe Disney dining plan, we got sit down meals with appetizer, entree and desert.

For lunch, the appetizer was a wonderful Caprese salad. Terry had spaghetti and meatballs but I had a great steak with mac and cheese. For desert I had a nice panna cotta and Terry had a chocolate Cherry tart. Our waitress, Lisa was from Indiana and was very personable. I could do this meal over and over again and not get tired!

But since we had a late lunch, it seemed like only a short time until our dinner at the Brown Derby. We stopped to ask them if we could change the reservation to later because we needed to go back to the hotel to shower and change. They Maitre d' Mark was wonderful and told us we didn't need to change, although it was a signature dining restaurant, he said the staff dressed up so we didn't have to. Our waiter, Sam from Morocco gave great recommendations.

Terry had a salad with peaches while I opted for Crab Cake appetizer.

For dinner, the lobster and grouper was good but Terry's steak was the best plate of the evening.

The desert trio was interesting and my favorite was the blueberry cobbler.

We didn't take many photos in the parks because I was too busy having fun. They gave me a birthday button and yes, I wore it all three days we were at Disney! After dinner at the Brown Derby we were completely exhausted. We were in bed early to make up for trying to sleep on an airplane the night before. The next day was The Magic Kingdom. We did all the thrill rides of course but Space Mountain was a huge disappointment. Most of the displays were taken down, much of the lights and action on the ride were gone.... it was not worth the fast pass. Space Mountain was the ride I was looking forward to the most since I remember this from when I was younger.

For lunch we had reservations at Libery Tavern. This was my first time eating there and I thought it was great!

I had the crab dip which was really 2 entree credits on the dining plan but Terry let me have his credits since he does NOT care for crab.

After a full day at the park, we went back to the hotel for a quick nap, shower and change. We had dinner reservations at Citricos and I think this was my favorite meal of the whole Disney experience! They were very nice and the view was amazing. After dinner we were sipping coffee - well Terry was watching me drink a cup of coffee and they advised us the fireworks would start soon. They moved chairs to create a veiwing area for us and another couple. It was like having a private fireworks event! Anyway... on to dinner. I love cheese so couldn't resist the cheese plate. I had a mango thing for dessert I can't remember but do know it was excellent.

The next day we went to Epcot - I did take a lot of photos here just becuase Epcot is my favorite park. We had fast pass reservation for Mission Space and yes, we chose he Orange team for the full effect. It was the most intense ride I've ever experienced and I'm glad we went before lunch as I wasn't so sure I was going to be able to hold my stomach anyway. I'd love to know how much force is experienced on that ride!

For lunch, we had reservations at the Moroccan restaurant. Terry wasn't very sure but he knew it would make me happy so he agreed. He is more of a meat and potatos guy. I can't remember what the appetizers were that are wrapped in phyllo dought but I do remember I liked them a lot! I also loved the Moroccan mint iced tea they served. I wish I could get that here at home. Lunch was very good, we had a belly dancer for entertainment and it was nice to get out of the rain.

After another quick walk back to the hotel (Boardwalk Inn), a shower, a nap and a change of clothes, we went back to Epcot for our dinner reservations at Le Cellier. Honestly, the dining plan was so much food we weren't hungry after the first day. Next time I wouldn't get the delux plan - too much food even using 2 dining credits for the signature restaurants.

Le Cellier was nice, but not my favorite place which is surprising since we both love a good steak dinner. There were lots of families with children that had spread out their "stuff" all over the floor, blocking isles, etc. Tables were so close it was hard to move around. The waitstaff weren't all that personable and most of the time nonexistant other than to take the order and deliver the food. I did like the pretzel bread but the cheese appetizer wasn't so great after having the one at Citricos. The steak istelf was good though.

Here is a link to a slideshow of all my food photos from Disneyworld including a few not on this page. I took photos of a lot of menu boards at Epcot.
